HOW TO SPEND FIVE DAYS IN PARIS
PARIS : The city that takes too many lifetimes to see. Many travelers come for about three days and try to see the highlights of this beautiful city. You need more time than that . I think you should plan on spending at least five days in Paris in order to see the bare minimum of what the city of lights has to offer. We plan to spend 5 days in Paris with a budget of RM5000/person . We will depart on 8th September 2015 from KLIA using Vietnam Airlines and exchanging flight at SGN Ho Chi Minh City heading towards our vacation destination , CDG Airport Paris.
Arrival day and time : 9th September 2015 , at 5.10pm.
Arrival at Roissy Airpot , Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG).Then , purchase a Paris Visit at the ticket counter in the Airport , which is a transport pass. Allowing FREE access of buses , Metro , RER , SNCF trains , trams and cable car for five days when we are in Paris. It allows us to travel anywhere in Zone 1,2 and 3 in Paris. We are able to travel as many times and anywhere within Zone 1,2 and 3 as we wish.
After buying Paris visite pass , we will head towards the train platforms which will require descending another set of escalators or stairs onto Level 1 exit to terminal 2 to take RER B heading towards Gare Du Nord Station. Line => RER B (Blue). Direction => Paris (Robinson , Antony , St-Remy-les-chevreuse). Arrival station => Gare du Nord Chatelet les Halles, St Michel/Notre Dame , Luxembourg , Port Royal , Denfert-Rochereau , Cite Universitaire.
Trains run from Charles de Gaulle Airport to Paris between 04;46 and 23;56 Monday to Sunday. Tickets cost (Euro 9.25)(RM37) without Paris visite pass , which is one -way and the journey approximately takes up to 50 minutes to reach the first major train station in Paris : Gare Du Nord . Head south on Rue de Compiegne toward place Napolean III (110) turn left onto Rue de Dunkerque (180m) turn right onto Rue de Saint-Quentin (14m)
The Eiffel Tower is beautiful and best see in the night to avoid the crowds. Get there right as it opens, and you'll be able to avoid most of the lines to the top . If you get there around midday , you'll find yourself waiting in line for hours. I like coming here after going to Rue Cler (see below) and having a picnic on the grass and people-watching. I once saw a bunch of Parisian kids practicing Michael Jackson's moonwalk dance.
Eiffel tower getting there by bus number 42. The 42 bus route begins at the Gare Du Nord train station and cuts diagonally across Paris going through place de la opere , past the grand Garnier Opera , around place de la Madeleine and Eglise Madeleine , through place de la concorde , up the lower champs - Elysees , across the seine on the Pont de I'Alma bridge , along the left Bank quais of the Seine , through the champs de Mars and around the Eiffel tower .
